DEVELOPMENT: Ascendant Development completes 170-unit BTR in Texas. Ascendant Development has completed a 170-unit BTR townhome community in Tomball, Texas. Richard Owen, principal of Ascendant Development, said the project was designed to provide upscale suburban living in a fast-growing, high-barrier-to-entry market with strong schools and convenient access to employment and retail corridors. The community consists of three-story one- and two-bedroom townhomes ranging from 1,020 to 1,390 square feet, with rents from about $1,699 to $3,000 and private one- or two-car garages.

DISPOSITION: Walker & Dunlop arranges sale of 202-unit BTR. Walker & Dunlop has arranged the sale of the Gwinnett BFR Value-Add Portfolio, a 202-unit BTR portfolio in Georgia. Walker & Dunlop’s John Carr, Cameron Dunn, Telly Fathaly, Chris Goldsmith, Riley Hall, Wilson Rogers, Brandon Plante and Carter Cole arranged the sale.

DEVELOPMENT: Center Park Group completes 222-home community. Center Park Group has completed construction of a 222-home BTR townhome community in McDonough, Georgia, developed by Canvas Residential Partners. Center Park served as general contractor, delivering 222 two-story townhomes across 38 buildings on a 27-acre site, with phased turnovers allowing leasing to begin before final completion. CEO Jason Esposito said the project demonstrates the company’s standardized production model, which emphasizes predictable costs, schedules and repeatable construction outcomes.

DEVELOPMENT: AREY Group and JCCG break ground on 75-home BTR in Florida. AREY Group and Jim Chapman Construction Group have broken ground on a 75-home BTR community in Gainesville, Florida. The project will include 75 attached single-family rental homes, eight garage buildings, a maintenance building, clubhouse and resort-style swimming pool. JCCG is serving as general contractor, with completion expected in the third quarter of 2027.
