FUNDRAISING: Griffin fills $23.5M BTR offering for 138 homes in Oklahoma. Griffin Capital has fully subscribed its Tulsa BTR DST after raising approximately $23.5M in equity. The trust owns Meadow + Main, a 138-home rental community in Jenks, OK, that Griffin acquired in January 2026. Completed in 2023, the 15.6-acre property offers private fenced yards, 10-foot ceilings and amenities including a pool, fitness center and walking trails. Co-CEO Nick Rosenthal said the offering reflects Griffin’s focus on institutional-quality rental housing. The announcement marks completion of the equity raise; the property acquisition occurred earlier this year.

DEVELOPMENT: Garbett proposes 88 rental townhomes at former church site in Utah. Garbett Homes is seeking rezoning for 88 rental townhomes on 3.58 acres at 660 N. Redwood Road in Salt Lake City’s Fairpark neighborhood. Garbett Realty has a $5M purchase agreement with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but the sale has not closed. Plans by Think Architecture call for 28 one-bedroom, 29 two-bedroom and 31 three-bedroom homes, all-electric construction and garages. Construction could begin in early 2028, subject to rezoning and other approvals.

LEASING: Rockefeller’s 152-townhome Corsica Villas nears 50% occupancy in Arizona. Rockefeller Group’s Corsica Villas at 20th Street and Corsica Villas at Euclid are approaching 50% occupancy in South Phoenix, AZ. The two communities contain 152 two-story rental townhomes, including 139 three-bedroom homes. Rockefeller’s Southwest development leader Mark Singerman said leasing activity supports demand for more space and flexibility. RPM Living community manager Jared Dicino highlighted renters’ use of extra bedrooms for offices, fitness and family needs.

AWARDS: JCCG earns three national construction rankings. Jim Chapman Construction Group ranked No. 50 among design-build construction firms, No. 51 among multifamily construction firms and No. 135 among contractors in Building Design+Construction’s 2026 Giants 400 Report. The BTR contractor completed 708 homes in 2025 and reports more than 11 communities and 2,500 homes under development or construction across its Southeast and Midwest footprint. Chairman and CEO Jim Chapman emphasized delivery quality and schedule certainty. President Chris Mancuso credited the company’s integrated approach to development and construction.
