NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Bayshore Investment Partners acquires Florida BTR. Bayshore Investment Partners (BIP) has acquired Fox Glen, a recently developed BTR single-family rental community in Cocoa, Florida. Jose Tello, Principal at BIP, thanked Chad Freedman of Ballaga, Freedman & Atkin for legal representation, Kyle Ryan, Brad Williamson, and Mitch Sinberg of Berkadia for arranging agency financing, André Dillenseger and Juan Carlos Castillo of Cynergy for acquisition support, Will Crenshaw and Jeremy Miller of AJ Gallagher for insurance, and the D.R. Horton BTR Florida team for helping close the transaction. The announcement also highlighted BIP team members Efren Ales, Alvaro Guarderas, Nicolas Lopez, Daniela Navas, and Joaquin Arias.

DEVELOPMENT: Wan Bridge nears completion of 166-unit BTR in Texas. Wan Bridge, a Texas-based BTR developer, is nearing completion of The Reserve at Red Oak, a 166-unit BTR community located south of Dallas, Texas. The 18-acre development features three- and four-bedroom homes ranging from 1,501 to 1,857 square feet, each with attached garages.

DEVELOPMENT: Crescent breaks ground on 115 units. Crescent Communities has broken ground on Harmon Ashton Oaks, a 115-unit BTR townhome community in Wesley Chapel, Florida, a suburb of Tampa. The project is being developed on 28 acres at the intersection of Florida 54 and Ashton Oaks Boulevard, with first residents expected later this year. Tony Chen, Crescent’s Senior Managing Director of Single-Family BTR, said the project responds to sustained demand for housing that offers the space of a single-family home without the commitment of ownership. DRB Group, a Sumitomo Forestry affiliate, will build the townhomes.

DEVELOPMENT: Parkland Residential now leasing Georgia BTR. Parkland Residential, the BTR division of Parkland Communities, is now leasing at Sugarloaf Landing, a 114-home rental community on Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Jim Jacobi, president of Parkland Residential, said Sugarloaf Landing is designed to deliver rental homes without sacrificing space or design, while Brett Forney, managing partner at Prim Properties, said the community is built around comfort and convenience. Prim Properties handles leasing and management in-house.
