NEWS ROUNDUP

DEVELOPMENT: Rockefeller Group breaks ground on 213 units. Rockefeller Group has begun construction on Corsica Villas at Laveen, a 213-unit single-family rental community at Phoenix’s South Mountain base, with leasing expected to start in mid-2027. The project—designed by Synectic Design and built by BFL Construction—will feature duplexes and townhomes, all with private backyards, plus a clubhouse, resort-style pool, and dog park.

DEVELOPMENT: CBI breaks ground on Florida BTR. CBI has broken ground on Abrazo at Wylder, a 264-home BTR cottage-style community in Port St. Lucie. The project is being developed by Third Lake Development and designed by BSB Architecture, with site work underway and utility construction set to begin next week. The community will feature planned amenities and access to nearby parks and botanical gardens.

DEVELOPMENT: Parkland Residential begins vertical construction at Georgia BTR. Parkland Residential has begun vertical construction on the first building at Sugarloaf Crest, a 67-home BTR community in Gwinnett County. Funded by Great Southern Bank, the project sits on 5.2 acres in Lawrenceville and features rear-entry stacked townhomes organized around a central town green.

PEOPLE MOVES: BrightSky Residential promotes new Director of Capital Markets. BrightSky Residential has promoted Donny Fineberg to Director of Capital Markets, where he will lead the firm’s joint venture equity platform and oversee the sourcing, underwriting, and structuring of investments with institutional and private capital partners. “Donny leads our joint venture equity business, partnering closely with our investments, acquisitions and operations teams,” said Leonard Miller, CEO of BrightSky.“
