NEWS ROUNDUP

DEVELOPMENT: Stark Enterprises launches 120-unit BTR in Ohio. Stark Enterprises is developing a 120-unit luxury BTR in Canal Winchester, Ohio, with groundbreaking expected in the coming weeks. Lease-up is set to begin early next year, with first units scheduled to deliver that spring, and Stark subsidiary Arbor Construction will serve as general contractor. The project will include 37 residential buildings with two- and three-bedroom layouts featuring private front porches, back patios, walk-in closets, washers and dryers, and attached two-car garages.

DEVELOPMENT: Mark-Taylor, Sunbelt Holdings, and Rockpoint deliver 283 units. Mark-Taylor Residential, Sunbelt Holdings, and Rockpoint have delivered 283 additional rental homes in North Phoenix through a new BTR community near the TSMC area. Julie Krentz, associate managing director at Mark-Taylor Residential, said the project was designed to take advantage of Sonoran Desert views while offering privacy and comfort. Homes include attached two-car garages with EV charging, patios, private backyards, smart-home technology, oversized kitchen islands, and premium finishes.

DEVELOPMENT: 29th Street Living opens 201-unit BTR in Arizona. 29th Street Living has officially opened a 201-unit BTR community in Apache Junction, with city leaders and developers holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Beric Wessley, director of lease-up operations, said strong leasing activity has confirmed demand for upscale rental housing in the area. Developers said all residential buildings are complete and that interest has been strong since the first units became available.

DEVELOPMENT: JCCG starts vertical construction on 192-home BTR. Jim Chapman Construction Group has begun vertical construction on the first four homes at a 192-home BTR community in Villa Rica, Georgia, following a 16-month land development phase. Jim Chapman, CEO of JCCG, said the milestone reflects close coordination with project partners and a disciplined execution process, while Chris Mancuso, president of JCCG, said the project is entering an exciting phase as demand remains strong for well-designed rental housing in the corridor.
