DEVELOPMENT: Henderson Park and Green Room break ground on 266-unit BTR. Henderson Park and Green Room Partners have officially broken ground on a 266-unit single-plat BTR community in South Carolina. Nick Weber, CEO and founder of Henderson Park, said the development will deliver high-quality rental housing in an area attracting new residents and businesses, while John Lari, managing partner of Green Room Partners, said the project was designed around how people want to live today, with housing ranging from one-bedroom cottages and townhomes to larger three-bedroom homes.

DEVELOPMENT: Red Cedar starts 187-townhome BTR in North Carolina. Construction has begun on a 187-townhome BTR community in Charlotte’s Steele Creek submarket, with Red Cedar Construction Services serving as builder. Jon Grabowski, CEO of Red Cedar Construction Services, said the development is a significant addition to Charlotte’s BTR market and reflects continued demand for professionally managed housing in a fast-growing area. The 23-acre project is a joint venture between Peakline Real Estate Funds, Sterling Equities, and EDEN Multifamily. Full completion is expected by mid-2027.

DEVELOPMENT: Laseter finishes site work on 165-lot residential community. Laseter Development Group is wrapping up horizontal development on a 165-lot residential community in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with vertical construction expected to begin this summer. The project will feature four- and five-bedroom homes ranging from 2,400 to 3,500 square feet.

FINANCING: Greysteel arranges $46 million construction loan for Alabama BTR. Greysteel’s Debt and Structured Finance team has arranged a $46 million construction loan for a 235-unit BTR development in Auburn, Alabama. Chris Wilkins of Greysteel arranged the financing.
