NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Christopher Todd acquires two Texas communities. Christopher Todd Capital has acquired Avilla Parkway and Avilla Reserve, two BTR communities totaling 335 single-family homes in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, from developer NexMetro Communities. Both properties were built in 2021 and feature one-, two-, and three-bedroom cottage-style homes. The one-bedroom homes are duplexes, while the larger units are standalone residences. Home sizes range from 635 to 1,236 square feet, with rents averaging $2,164 to $2,198.

DEVELOPMENT: ResiBuilt opens South Carolina BTR. ResiBuilt’s latest BTR community, George Creek Village, is celebrating its Grand Opening. The community is located in Easley, South Carolina and will feature 150 townhomes with four different floor plans to choose from.

DEVELOPMENT: Blount breaks ground on $60 million project. Rick Blount, President at Blount Development Group, announced that the company has broken ground on a 224-unit BTR project in Wildwood, Florida.

DEVELOPMENT: BBL Building Co. breaks ground on 250 units. BBL Building has broken ground on a 250-unit BTR community in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Amenities will include a leasing office, fitness facilities, pool house, cabana, and three- and six-bay garages.
